In 2008, Team 1718 started their first rookie team, 2604 "Metal and Soul". Since then the Fighting Pi have started numerous teams. In 2011, we finally decided to formalize the process in order to make it easier for us and to provide tools to the community.

Along the way of creating this rookie packet in 2011, we founded 3 more FRC teams. We used their feedback and incorporated it into this packet.
